Whitehaven Wines is delighted to announce their award-winning wines are available for tastings, at their new cellar door at the Vines Village Artisan Hub in Rapaura Rd.
The Whitehaven Wines Cellar Door is now open seven days a week for wine tastings, alongside the Old Orchard Cafe and six artisan stores at the Vines Village, located at 193 Rapaura Rd.
Whitehaven Wines proprietor Sue White says the Vines Village, nestled among the vines along Marlborough’s “Golden Mile” grape growing area, was an ideal location for the Whitehaven Wines cellar door.
“As long-time neighbours, we are avid supporters of the Vines Village, and feel that Whitehaven Wines is a nice fit with their style aesthetic,” Sue says.
“While we’ve previously done wine tastings by appointment at our winery, we are thrilled at the opportunity to be able to share our wine, our story and the Marlborough wine story with locals and visitors alike.”
Vines Village group manager Jeff Fulton said they were excited to have the globally recognised winery joining the Vines Village family.
“They’re our neighbours - with their winery just over the back fence, it makes sense that they’re here. We’re really happy to have a wine label of such high regard as part of the Vines Village offerings.”
“They’ve got a wide range of award-winning wines, well suited to the ongoing changes in the cafe and we couldn’t be happier to have them on board.”
Whitehaven Wines was established in 1994 by the White family, and over the past 20 years has carved a global reputation for producing elegant, single varietal Marlborough wines.
Today the company is headed by Sue White, an enthusiastic advocate for the Marlborough region.
Joined by a small, talented, committed team, Sue continues to make the dreams she shared with her late husband Greg a reality.
