Within a very short time of entering the Canadian market, Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc has earned the distinction of being listed as one of the top 100 Best Value Wines in the prestigious Vancouver Magazines 8th Annual Vancouver Wine awards.
The competition’s Chief Judge D J Kearney, a noted Vancouver-based wine judge and wine educator with the International Sommelier Guild, noted that this Canadian event has gained focus and refinement since it was established six years ago. Wines from 13 countries figured in this year’s results which are dominated by wines from France, Italy and British Columbia.
Whitehaven’s Managing Director Sue White is delighted with the news of the recognition for her classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
“Building on Whitehaven’s past success in the USA market, Canada has become our focus for the past six months and to receive this level of recognition so early on is very satisfying."
